Daryl provides board advisory and has served on several boards as a member and Chair. He has experience across many industries, with a career that spans 40+ years delivering C-suite leadership, business advisory and management consulting across private, family businesses, SME’s and listed companies.

Daryl has successfully led business growth and performance improvement on a global scale. He has managed mergers & acquisitions, facilitating turnaround management and led enterprises through significant change, digitisation and growth.

Daryl’s passion is to see business succeed – whether a start up or well established. He is active in the NFP sector and in the clubs and professional associations he belongs. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Transformation and Turnaround Association and a registered practising Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Lina is an Accountant, providing management accounting services to our diverse range of clients.

Prior to joining us, Lina had five years of financial experience working in different commercial industries including well-known IT companies overseas. Lina has experienced the financial function in these companies and can relate to the challenges our clients are experiencing.

Lina has Bachelor of Accounting from an overseas University and has a Master of Professional Accounting from Torrens University in Australia.

Providing the highest level of service to clients and gaining their trust as a company is the most rewarding part of Lina’s role.

During her free time, Lina enjoys playing tennis, listening to pop music, reading novel books, watching documentaries and fiction movies, and playing board games with family and friends.

Sonya is the Practice Manager of Converse Advisory Group and plays a key role in ensuring the business operates efficiently and effectively. With extensive experience across practice management, client service, operations and compliance, she works closely with clients and the team to deliver a seamless experience while supporting organisational growth and continuous improvement.

With a background in aviation, hospitality, and allied health, Sonya understands the complexities of transition. In her role as Practice Manager, she fosters a collaborative and efficient work environment, streamlines processes, and supports the team in delivering top-tier service, empowering clients to achieve their best outcomes.

Talisa Chelo is a Junior Client Services Accountant at Converse Advisory, bringing a strong operational foundation and growing technical expertise to the team. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Commerce (Small Business Management) at the University of the Sunshine Coast, building both practical and academic capability in accounting and business performance.

Talisa’s background includes leadership and operational roles where she developed strong organisational discipline, analytical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the role accurate financial information plays in business success. Through hands-on experience supporting bookkeeping functions, coordinating workflows, and maintaining financial records, she has built a detail-oriented and methodical approach to client work.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and MYOB/Xero, Talisa supports clients with data processing, reconciliations, compliance preparation, and maintaining the financial accuracy that underpins sound advisory outcomes. She is committed to continuous learning and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality support to both clients and the broader advisory team. At Converse Advisory, Talisa contributes to the firm’s commitment to clarity, accountability, and practical, results-driven outcomes.

In her free time, she enjoys working on old cars, riding motorbikes, going to car and truck shows, and playing games with her family. As an artisan, she also enjoys creating artworks and taking trips to galleries.
